Analyst Says The Heat Are Relieved That Jimmy Butler Is Gone

Throughout the course of his career, Jimmy Butler has burned bridges all over the NBA.
As good a player and as big a competitor as he is, he’s likely made teams regret acquiring him at one point.
And just when it seemed like that wasn’t going to be the case in Miami, things went downhill in South Beach as well.
According to Dan Le Batard, things got so ugly with the Heat that people were actually relieved to see him go (via NBA Central).
Dan Le Batard says people within the Miami Heat have always viewed Jimmy Butler as an “unstable ingredient,” and many were relieved after he left because no one wanted to be at work

Le Batard claimed that even before things escalated and the media got a hold of everything that was going on, people didn’t even want to go to work because they didn’t want to be around Butler.
Of course, Pat Riley has a history of running star players out of town, and he didn’t do much to help his case with Butler.
Nevertheless, given his history and how he’s operated with other teams in the past, Le Batard’s report is hardly a surprise.
Butler claims to be happy and extremely motivated now that he’s with the Golden State Warriors.
That was the case as well when he was with the Chicago Bulls, Minnesota Timberwolves, Philadelphia 76ers, and when he first got to Miami.
