Atlantic Joint Venture Trade Evening Event in Dublin with ITTN Reporting

Travel trade and media were invited to the Atlantic Joint Venture trade evening in the Mayson Hotel in Dublin, part of the Atlantic Joint Venture Roadshow.
The Atlantic Joint Venture consists of 7 airlines: Air Canada, United Airlines, Austrian, Brussels Airlines, Eurowings, Lufthansa and Swiss.
Congratulations to the Winners
Alana Monahan (Tour America) came first in the Kahoot Quiz with an impressive 19 out of 20, winning 2 Air Canada Economy tickets from Dublin to Canada, the US, Mexico or Central America.
Bladhana Richardson (American Holidays) came second with 19 out of 20 and won the 2 United Airlines tickets in Economy from Dublin to Newark, Chicago or Washington DC.

United Airlines
United Airlines will offer more flights and seats from Dublin than any other US airline for Summer 2025
United offers year-round daily nonstop flights since 1998 from Dublin to New York/Newark, nearly year-round daily nonstop flights from Dublin to Washington DC and seasonal daily nonstop flights from Dublin to Chicago. The airline also has seasonal daily nonstop services from Shannon to New York/Newark and Chicago.

United Airlines nonstop flights from Ireland include 5 daily flights from Dublin and 2 daily flights from Shannon. This represents a 40% increase year-on-year in seats ex Dublin for 2025.
United is the largest airline in the world, as measured by available seat miles, and flies to more international destinations than any other US carrier. In total, next summer, United will offer 800 daily flights to and from 147 international destinations – including 40 that no other US airline serves.
United Economy
The economy category offers a variety of features for personalising your customer’s travel. There’s a 3-course meal with complimentary beer and wine, inclusive fares mean passengers don’t have to pay extra for a 23kg bag. In addition, there’s United Wi-Fi which is available on most aircraft.
United Economy Plus
This offers up to 15cm of extra legroom, the seats are closer to the front of the Economy cabin, and there is also more under seat storage.
United Premium Plus
This category offers more space with 96cm of legroom, comfort and amenities, booking classes O, A and R. Adjustable leg and footrests for additional comfort, seatback entertainment and upgrade dining options. There is a welcome meal and pre-arrival dining in addition to complimentary beer and wine. United Polaris Business Class
Business class has lie-flat beds with 196cm of sleep spaces, booking classes J, C, D, Z, P. This class also offers chef-designed menus and a selection of award-winning wine and champagne. Passengers get sleep-themed amenity kits, luxury Saks Fifth Avenue bedding, premium noise-reducing headphones and on-demand entertainment. There are also dedicated check-in desks and security lanes and priority boarding with Premier Access.
United Polaris Lounge
United Polaris Lounges are available exclusively to international premium cabin travellers in Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York/Newark, San Francisco and Washington DC and offer signature seating, a relaxation area and showers.
United Club
The United Club offers a wide range of amenities to improve experiences with: complimentary beverages and light snacks, high-speed wireless internet access, agent assistance with reservations, seat assignments and electronic ticketing. Passengers can opt for yearly membership or purchase a day pass on the United App (subject to availability).
Improving the flight experience for customers who use wheelchairs
A new feature on the United app and United.com makes it easier for customers who use wheelchairs to find flights that can best accommodate the specific dimensions of their personal mobility device.
Connection Saver
Scans flights for passengers with tight connections. It identifies flights that can be held. It ensures passengers already on board will arrive at their destinations on time. Sends personalised text to connecting customers with information about their connection.
Connection Saver saved 725,00 United customers missed connections in 2024.
Air Canada
Air Canada is the largest in Canada and operates more flights than any other carrier from Ireland to Canada:
- 3 key hubs with nonstop trans-Atlantic service from Dublin
- 100+ destinations in Canada and the US
- 30+ destinations across Europe and MEIA

Routes & Services from Dublin 2025
Increased capacity for routes and services from Dublin 2025 with c. 17% growth in 2025 versus 2024:
- Dublin to Toronto (YYZ) is a year-round service with 4-5 per week in the winter season and daily from March 2025 on a Dreamliner B787-900
- Dublin to Montreal (YUL) is a summer seasonal operating 4 times a week from June to September, onboard a Dreamliner B787-800
- Dublin to Vancouver (YVR) is summer seasonal, returning 4th May with a 5 times weekly from June to September and 3 times weekly from May to October. This service is also on a Dreamliner B787-900
Bláithín highlighted non-Canada destinations with same day connections from Dublin: San Jose, CR; Mexico City; Cancun; Orlando; Miami; Las Vegas; Los Angeles; and San Francisco.
Get Connected
Bláithín explained that Air Canada offers simple and efficient connections as passengers travel through the Canadian hubs to their final international destination. There are same terminal connections where no baggage pickup is necessary. Passengers can pre-clear customs and immigration in Canada if connecting to the US.
There is also the choice of classes:
- Economy Class & International Economy Class (complimentary bar service & meals)
- Premium Economy with a larger seat, extra legroom and next-generation entertainment system on a larger screen. There are also priority airport services, extra baggage allowances and a complimentary upgraded meal, wine & beverage service.
- Air Canada’s Signature Service is a premium offering with priority boarding, check-in and baggage. This gives access to the Maple Leaf Lounges and Air Canada Signature Suites for select customers. These have Executive or Classic Pods which convert to a flat bed with bedding. It comes with premium dining and beverage service, amenity kits and noise cancelling headphones.
Onboard Air Calanda there is connectivity with free texting for Aeroplan members on most aircraft and WiFi passes available for purchase. There is 2,500+ hours of content from partnerships with Apple TV+, Disney+, Audible and Mattel.

Lufthansa

The summer schedule from Ireland includes 6 destinations across 4 airlines and up to 81 weekly flights:
- DUB – FRA: up to 28 weekly flights
- DUB – MUC: up to 14 weekly flights
- DUB – ZRH: up to 19 a week
- DUB – GEN: up to 3 a week
- DUB to DUS: up to 7 a week

Lufthansa Allegris Flights
Lufthansa Allegris flights are now bookable with product guarantee. This new long-haul experience will be available on flights from Munich to Bengaluru, Charlotte, Chicago, New York/Newark, San Diego, San Francisco, and Shanghai starting 30 March 2025 with New York/Newark starting 15 April 2025.
More destinations will gradually be added in the coming months. Travellers can now specifically book flights with the new Lufthansa Allegris First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy Class and Economy Class and choose the seats they want when booking.
