Caymanas Park announces $4-m partnership

Building on the momentum of an energised 2024 racing season, Caymanas Park announced a major partnership with Newport Mills, a division of CB Group, through their premium horse feed brand, Frontrunner.
This significant agreement, valued at $4 million, will span the entire 2025 racing calendar and underscores CB Group’s commitment to supporting Jamaica’s thriving horse racing industry.
According to Samuel Jones, sales manager at Newport Mills, “As the manufacturer and supplier of Frontrunner, Jamaica’s number one horse feed, we have enjoyed a strong relationship with Caymanas Park and the racing industry as a whole for many years. It’s therefore a natural progression for us to increase our investment in the sport. We’re excited about the partnership and hope that our support will lead to not only memorable performances but also contribute to the sustainability of the industry”.
The partnership will bring significant enhancements to several prestigious races, including the Road to the Triple Crown series. Notably, The Portmore (Grade 2) and The Kingston (Grade 2) races, scheduled for May 2025, will each receive a $1-million purse contribution. Additionally, the Dye Job Sprint, a Restricted Stakes race for two-year-olds, will be sponsored with a $500,000-purse contribution in December 2025.
Trainers will also benefit from this partnership, with Frontrunner feed giveaways throughout the year.
Christopher Wills, vice-president of Operations at Supreme Ventures Racing and Entertainment Limited (SVREL), expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.
“We are excited to welcome CB Group to the Caymanas Park family through their Frontrunner brand. This partnership represents another significant step in our ongoing commitment to elevate horse racing in Jamaica,” Wills said.
He added: “We continue to execute our vision of attracting new sponsors, expanding our fan base, and investing in the sustainability of the sport and developing Caymanas Park as the ultimate destination for entertainment in the Caribbean.”
