Chery Tiggo one win away from playoffs berth

MANILA, Philippines — Chery Tiggo entered the game in full battle gear and finished Nxled in straight sets, 25-22, 26-24, 25-12, in the play-in round of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday, March 6, 2025.With only two slots left in the quarterfinals, Chery Tiggo now hold the advantage in Pool B and is one win away from making the next round.The Norman Miguel-mentored team showed maturity in the second frame when Nxled gave it a fight and tied the set at 24-all. Chery Tiggo's Shaya Adorador went berserk and slammed back-to-back kills to give the Crossovers a 2-0 lead.In the third frame, the Crossovers totally dominated the Chameleons with Ces Robles and Ara Galang leading the charge."It's challenging. We put on a good show in our previous matches, but we lacked during late stretches. In today's game you can say that we worked better, and there's a better result," said Adorador, who tallied 14 points in the game.Chery Tiggo also ended its four-game dry spell with the help of Robles and Galang, who scored 15 points each. The Crossovers will battle the young Farm Fresh squad on Tuesday, March 11. If Chery Tiggo wins on Tuesday, it will face defending champion Creamline in the quarterfinals.Nxled, meanwhile, was led by EJ Laure who finished with 15 points and Chiara Permentilla who added 12.
