Choco Mucho makes quick work of Chery to secure QF slot
MANILA, Philippines — Choco Mucho's scoring machine Sisi Rondina hammered the winning point to help her squad advance to the quarterfinals of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference.
Rondina finished with 18 points on 16 attacks, a block, and an ace to finish Chery Tiggo via sweep 25-22, 25-22, 25-23, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Saturday.
The Crossovers held a 21-17 lead in the third set, before the Flying Titans stormed and tie the match at 23-all.
Rondina slammed back-to-back kills to not allow Chery Tiggo extend the match.
"I am thankful with the performance of our players, it's a total team effort, all are working, and I'm thankful for our floor defense," coach Dante Alinsunurin said.
Dindin Santiago-Manabat backed up Rondina with 13 points.
On Chery Tiggo's side, Ara Galang led the offense with 18 points, while Pauline Gaston added 12.
