Former Player Calls Out LeBron James For Confrontation With Stephen A. Smith

LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers was recently the focus of many news stories because of his interaction with commentator Stephen A. Smith.
A video showed James confronting Smith, who was sitting courtside during a game, and telling him to stop talking about his son, Bronny.
Smith later confirmed this on his show and it’s created a lot of reactions.
Speaking on “Run It Back,” former NBA star Gordon Hayward had a few words about the situation and admitted he wouldn’t have handled it the same way.
“I would never do that in public like that. I don’t think that’s the time or place to do something like that,” Hayward said, per NBACentral.

Hayward said he understands why James was frustrated and there were times during his own basketball career when he felt upset at sports analysts and commentators.
They sometimes get facts wrong and they don’t know the full story, Hayward said.
So the feelings that James had were understandable, especially since he was upset about his son.
But Hayward believes James should have approached this in a different way and shouldn’t have made everything public.
A lot of people have commented on James and Smith’s interaction.
Some have said James was in the right to defend his son, while others feel that it should have been handled differently.
Like all things related to him, this move by James is garnering quite a reaction, both positive and negative.
It’ll be interesting to see what he does the next time Smith or someone else speaks about Bronny and his young career.
