Frazsiers Whip and Perfectos seek to continue winning in JWPL

DEFENDING champions Frazsiers Whip and Los Perfectos will seek to continue their winning ways when the Jamaica Women’s Premier League continues with five games scheduled today at 3:30 pm.
Both Frazsiers Whip and Los Perfectos scored five goals in their opening games last week and will be on the hunt for more points today when they take on Proven Girls SC and WiFi United, respectively.
Springers of St James will make their seasonal debut, hosting Federal United, while six other teams that earned draws last weekend, will hope to get their first wins.
Frazsiers Whip got off to a fast start with a 6-0 win over UWI Women, and are hoping to continue their winning ways when they travel to York Oval to face Proven who played out a 2-2 draw with WiFi United in their opening game.
Frazsiers Whip have been the top team in the local league for the past few years and are the favourites to continue their winning run.
Los Perfectos got off to a fast start as well, ending their nine-year hiatus with a 6-1 win over Federal United at Spanish Town Prison Oval, and will host WiFi United at Brooks Park in Mandeville today.
Under-20 Reggae Girl Andrene Smith scored a hat-trick last weekend to lead Los Perfectos and is expected to lead the team again today, along with former Reggae Girl Sashana Campbell who featured at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Mile Gully FC gave up a 3-1 lead against Real MoBay last week and settled for a 3-3 draw, but they will be at home against Cavalier FC who played out a 2-2 draw with Arnett Gardens.
Real MoBay will be encouraged by their improved second half last week and will hope to carry over that momentum against UWI Women at the UWI Bowl.
Saturday’s games:
Springers United vs Federal United – Granville Community Centre
Mile Gully FC vs Cavalier SC – Mile Gully Community Centre
Los Perfectos vs WiFi United – Brooks Park
UWI Women vs Real MoBay – UWI Bowl
