ITTN Joins Loveholidays at its Annual Press Lunch in Dublin

ITTN’S Sharon Jordan joined loveholidays at its annual press lunch in Dublin’s House Restaurant yesterday.
The lunch opened with a warm welcoming speech from Heather Ewens, Head of PR and Communications for loveholidays and was followed with some staggering local statistics from Ireland’s Commercial Director Clem Walshe.
Have a look below at what is trending for them and their market share here in Ireland –
The online travel agent pairs over 35,000 hotels with 99% of all flights departing from Irish airports.
loveholidays has earned a 4.5 star rating on Trustpilot, with more than 24,000 5-star reviews and counting.
The company launched in the Irish market nine years ago in 2016.
It was the first travel agent to become a verified partner of Ryanair. The partnership, agreed in January 2024, paved the way for other travel companies to work with the airline.
It sells short and long haul beach and city holidays, with the most popular destinations in 2024 unsurprisingly being Lanzarote, Algarve, Tenerife, Costa del Sol, Costa Dorada and Türkiyeʼs Aegean Coast.
It took the equivalent of 14% of the Irish population on holiday in 2024.
Its customers continue to book with them with three in five or 61% who booked a holiday with them in January 2025 having been on holiday with them before.
Here are some interesting 2025 travel trends they are seeing based on Januaryʼs data:
Solo travel is taking off, with bookings for one passenger up two fifths year-on-year in January 2025.
City breaks are in for 2025, with bookings up 25% year-on-year.
While the Canaries, mainland Spain and the Algarve remain firm favourites for 2025, emerging destinations for Irish holidaymakers include Malta – up 400% YOY, Poland up 148% YOY, Prague up 61% YOY and Morocco up 57%YOY.
Closing off the lunch there was a raffle for vouchers on the company’s products and a first seen perfume-making class where all the guests got to design – and keep – their own signature perfume based on loveholidays’ best-selling resorts. This was performed by Kilkenny based perfume workshop ‘Valley of Roses’ and it was a real highlight of the day.
