Lady Bulldogs hold off Maroons to stay undefeated in five games
MANILA, Philippines — The NU Lady Bulldogs dominated in the first set and held off the UP Fighting Maroons' fightback in the next two to claim a 25-13, 25-23, 25-22 win and go 5-0 in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday.
Bella Belen pumped 17 points to lead the top seed Lady Bulldogs who sent the Maroons to their fourth straight loss, good for the sixth spot in the standings.
Alyssa Solomon logged 16 points while Vange Alinsug added eight markers.
Kianne Olango notched 10 points to pace UP.
