Lady Bulldogs sweep Lady Falcons, move on cusp of first round sweep
MANILA, Philippines — The NU Lady Bulldogs moved on the cusp of a UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball first round sweep after blanking the Adamson Lady Falcons, 25-21, 25-23, 25-18, at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday.
Alyssa Solomon banged 22 points on 15 attacks, four blocks, and three aces on top of five digs to lead the defending champs, who finished the match with a 6-0 run to stay undefeated through six games.
Vange Alinsug also came through with 12 points and four receptions while Bella Belen logged eight points, 12 digs, and five receptions for the league-leading NU.
Frances Mordi tallied 13 points and six digs for Adamson which dropped to its third straight loss and to a 2-4 slate, tied with UP at fifth in the standings.
