Lady Spikers continue mastery over Blue Eagles, claim third straight win
MANILA, Philippines — The De La Salle Lady Spikers continued their mastery over the Ateneo Blue Eagles after scoring a 25-15, 25-14, 20-25, 25-19 win at the Mall of Asia Arena on Wednesday to claim their third straight victory in the UAAP Season 87 women's volleyball tournament.
Shevana Laput smashed 25 points on 19 attacks, three blocks, and three aces and logged six digs to lead La Salle, which recovered from a third set collapse to beat Ateneo for the 15th straight time.
Angel Canino came through with 17 points and eight digs for the Lady Spikers who rose to 4-2 for a share of third place with the FEU Lady Tamaraws.
Lyann De Guzman carried the fight for the Blue Eagles with 16 points, nine digs, and five receptions.
