Cirque du Soleil & the Neon Museum Come Together for a First-Ever Limited-Time Exhibition in Las Vegas

Global entertainment producer Cirque du Soleil and The Neon Museum are joining forces to debut a stunning and first-of-its-kind new exhibition, “Stories from Backstage: Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas.”

In line with The Neon Museum’s expanded mission to celebrate all aspects of the city’s unique spirit, this marks the first time Cirque du Soleil has collaborated with a museum on an exhibition honouring more than three decades of history in the entertainment capital of the world. “Stories from Backstage” runs from now to May 1, 2025 inside City Hall’s Grand Gallery in downtown Las Vegas.

The exhibition will include iconic costumes, 3D-printed fabrics, measurement sheets, makeup designs and more from the five current Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas shows including Mystère, ”O,”  Mad Apple, KÀ and Michael Jackson ONE.

Neon Museum

On Jan. 14, The Neon Museum welcomed the LVIII sign – which was placed on Fremont and Fourth Street during the week of Super Bowl LVIII – to its Neon Boneyard collection. Made possible thanks to a collaboration between The Neon Museum, the Las Vegas Super Bowl Host Committee and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA), the sign has been re-illuminated to honour the first-ever Super Bowl in the destination.

Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures from February

Lake Mead Mohave Adventures has announced its popular Hoover Dam Rafting Adventures will return to its full operational schedule in late February. Returning for its historic 42nd season, visitors can take the Hoover Dam Raft Tour and Hoover Dam Postcard Tour (Wed to Sun from Feb. 26, 2025). Offering memorable excursions along the Black Canyon National Water Trail on the majestic Colorado River, all tours feature up-close photo opportunities at the base of the legendary Hoover Dam beneath the Mike O’Callaghan Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge — the widest single-arch concrete bridge in the Western Hemisphere.  Visitors enjoy a journey down the Colorado River while riding motor-assisted, inflatable rafts through the spectacular Black Canyon. What’s New with the Las Vegas Resorts

MGM Grand $300m Room & Suite Remodel
MGM Grand Hotel & Casino reveals $300m remodel encompassing the hotel’s 4,212 rooms and suites within its main tower. The transformation, slated for completion in December 2025, will see modern, sophisticated design elements inspired by the flair of the disco era. The rooms will join a vibrant lineup of new dining and entertainment experiences set to open later this year. The first phase of the main tower’s newly remodelled rooms will be available for reservation beginning March 1, 2025. These add to the collection of remodelled accommodations available at MGM Grand, including the 700-room Studio Tower which was completed in 2022.

TAO Group & Palm Tree Crew Announce New Vegas Dayclub at MGM Grand
Palm Tree Crew, the global live entertainment, lifestyle, and hospitality company founded by Kygo and Myles Shear, has announced its latest venture, Palm Tree Beach Club at MGM Grand, opening in partnership with Tao Group Hospitality, a leader in restaurants, nightlife and entertainment. Palm Tree Beach Club will debut in May 2025 as a tropical oasis with chart-topping performers and top-tier service. The space will be an eclectic, vibrant and chic tropical retreat. Spanning nearly 60,000 sqft, the venue will include a ground-level stage, salt water pool, 12 bungalows and 10 cabanas, along with daybeds and chaise lounges all to fit more than 3,000 guests.

College Football Playoff with Las Vegas Hosting 2027 National Championship Game
The College Football Playoff has announced that Las Vegas will host the 2027 College Football Playoff National Championship at Allegiant Stadium on Jan. 25, 2027. The Las Vegas CVA celebrated the news by releasing a video of Strip Headliner Shin Lim performing an illusion at the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign. The face of the sign was changed and Lim revealed a new message, welcoming the College Football Playoff National Championship to Las Vegas.

Inaugural Las Vegas HBCU Classic Brings Grambling & Jackson State to Allegiant Stadium in Oct 2025
The Las Vegas Raiders and the Las Vegas CVA will present the inaugural Las Vegas HBCU Classic between Grambling State University and Jackson State University, on Oct. 25, 2025, at Allegiant Stadium. The landmark event will celebrate the rich legacy and culture of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), showcasing one of college football’s most storied rivalries.

Rugby League Las Vegas. Unveils 2025 Event Week Schedule
Rugby League Las Vegas is back for the second year at Allegiant Stadium. The events leading up to the big games from Feb. 26 to March 1 will enhance the fan experience and will welcome new and returning fans.

LPGA Tour’s T-Mobile Match Play Presented by MGM Rewards in Shadow Creek, Las Vegas in April 2025
MGM Resorts International, the LPGA Tour and T-Mobile have announced the fifth annual T-Mobile Match Play presented by MGM Rewards is scheduled to return to Shadow Creek in Las Vegas April 2-6, 2025. Nelly Korda will look to defend her title as she and her fellow competitors vie for the $2 million purse.

SuperMotoCross SMX World Championship Final Returns to Las Vegas Motor Speedways in Sept 2025
The SMX World Championship Final will return to The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in Las Vegas, on Sept. 20.
