Nxled caps PVL campaign with win vs Farm Fresh

MANILA, Philippines — Cellar dweller Nxled ended its Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-Filipino Conference on a winning note after scoring a 25-17, 25-17, 25-18 win over Farm Fresh in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) 2024-25 All-FIlipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City on Thursday.The young Nxled squad finished the tournament with two victories, including its win against Galeries in the preliminaries.Although its play-in game against Farm Fresh has no bearing in the outcome of the tournament, Nxled head coach Ettore Guidetti said that finishing the conference with a win can help the team boost its confidence in the next tournament.
"I'm really happy to win. It is super important to finish well. Our aim is to rise, and our idea is to get the team to be better, and immediately start early to prepare for the next tournament," the Italian head tactician said. Interestingly, Nxled has no double-digit scorers as Janel Maraguinot led the team with 12 excellent sets.
Krich Macaslang and Chiara Permentilla churned out nine points each while EJ Laure and Lucille Amonte scored eight points apiece.
Rachel Jorvina took care of the floor defense with 20 excellent digs.Farm Fresh, on the other hand, was led by Pierre Abellana who netted 10 points even as Rachel Daquis added nine points.
Farm Fresh ended the conference with a 5-6 record in the preliminaries and no wins in the play-in round.
