Perpetual Help aims to remain unbeaten in NCAA volleyball

LAS PINAS CITY — After three games in the NCAA Season 100 volleyball tournament, the men's and women's teams of the University of Perpetual Help Dalta System remain unbeaten.

On Friday, March 7, the Altas Spikers and Lady Altas will try to keep their records clean when they face the teams of Arellano University at the Lyceum of the Philippines University gym in Intramuros, Manila.

Carrying the load for the school are Winnie Bedaña in the women's side and Jeff Marapoc in the men's.

Bedaña scored 11 points in the Lady Altas' 25-18, 28-26, 25-16 win against San Beda University on Feb. 22 then followed it up with her best outing so far on Feb. 27 when she scored 20 points from 15 attacks, three aces, and two blocks in a 25-17, 22-25, 25-14, 25-22 win against Jose Rizal University.

Marapoc, on the other hand, registered 15 points, six digs and 15 receptions to open their campaign on a high note against San Beda, 25-22, 31-29, 25-23.

He then collected 13 points, 10 receptions and six digs in their 25-20, 25-21, 25-19 victory against JRU.

Last Saturday, Marapoc had a 24-point outing in a 25-15, 25-16, 22-25, 19-25, 15-9 win over Lyceum, where he also had 12 receptions.

The women's will see action at 1 p.m.

The men's, on the other hand, will pay at 3 p.m.
