Reagan Sahadi: Wrongful Death and Personal Injury Attorney Is Building a Legal Legacy Fighting for Victims

Reagan Sahadi never planned on becoming a wrongful death and personal injury attorney. In fact, there was a time when he questioned whether he wanted to practice law at all. But fate—and family—had other plans.

“I had lost the zealousness and passion that prompted me to go to law school in the first place,” said Sahadi, who is one of the top-rated attorneys in the country. “I didn’t know if I even wanted to continue practicing law.”

Now recognized as a 2025 AV Preeminent Attorney for legal excellence and ethics, Reagan Sahadi has built a reputation for taking on powerful corporations and insurance companies, ensuring justice for those who might otherwise be ignored. The Texas-based attorney has achieved overwhelming success litigating cases across the nation, establishing himself as a force in the legal field.

Sahadi’s never-quit attitude has propelled him to new heights, and he’s just getting started. He is particularly skilled at defending people who have suffered personal injuries, wrongful death, or product responsibility. In order to combine the extensive resources and knowledge of a larger legal company with the individualized attention of a boutique firm, he founded Sahadi Legal Group. His relentless pursuit of justice has led to numerous multimillion-dollar verdicts and settlements, including a landmark $124 million judgment.

“Innovation in my work is driven by my willingness to take calculated risks and think outside the box,” Reagan Sahadi said. “My entrepreneurial spirit encourages me to explore new approaches to legal challenges, ensuring my practice remains at the forefront of the industry.”

However, to understand his remarkable career now, it’s important to go back to a time when a single phone call changed everything in his life.

Reagan Sahadi Finds Purpose in the Fight

Sahadi started his legal career in an insurance defense agency, where he defended people and firms sued by big corporate insurance companies. He soon realized that it wasn’t the right fit for him. “I wanted to be in the courtroom fighting for real people, not defending corporations that put profits over people,” Sahadi said. “I knew I had to make a change and use my skills to help those who truly needed justice.”

Feeling unfulfilled, Sahadi found himself at a crossroads. Then came a call from his uncle. “My uncle was playing golf in Houston when the earth opened underneath his feet, swallowing him in a huge sinkhole,” Sahadi said. “The only reason he survived was that he extended his right arm and shoulder to stop the fall. In doing so, he tore the ligaments in his arm and shoulder to the point where he could no longer practice dentistry.” His uncle’s attempt to settle the claim with the golf course’s insurance company was unsuccessful. That’s when he turned to Sahadi for help.

“It was my first personal injury case as a plaintiff’s attorney,” Sahadi said. “I carefully worked up the case against the golf course and discovered that a drainage pipe had detached below the surface where the sinkhole began.”

Sahadi argued that the golf course had prior knowledge of the hazard, and after eight months of relentless work, the case was settled. His uncle was overjoyed, and Sahadi found his calling. “I knew that I was destined to practice personal injury law,” he said. “I left the insurance defense business and went to work for a high-powered plaintiff’s firm.”

The Birth of Sahadi Legal Group

While working at a top plaintiff’s firm in Corpus Christi, Texas, Sahadi gained invaluable experience among aggressive, successful attorneys. But deep down, he knew he wanted something more—his own firm. “The experience inspired me to start Sahadi Legal—to help the little guy and dream big.”

Today, Sahadi Legal Group has grown into a premier law firm specializing in catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, and product liability cases. The firm’s reputation has been built on an unwavering commitment to advocacy, meticulous case preparation, and securing life-changing verdicts for clients. The firm’s ability to take on high-stakes cases and hold powerful corporations accountable has set it apart in the legal landscape.

Sahadi and his team have successfully secured settlements and verdicts exceeding hundreds of millions of dollars. Most notably, Sahadi obtained a record-breaking $120 million verdict in a personal injury case—the largest actual damages verdict in El Paso County history. He has also negotiated numerous seven-figure settlements, such as the most recent $19 million settlement in a case involving product responsibility.

His commitment to justice extends beyond litigation. Sahadi was once a judge in the Goliad, Texas, municipal court. As the first municipal court judge for the city, he presided over a wide variety of cases, further cementing his reputation as a leader in the legal field.

Sahadi is licensed to practice in all Texas state courts, as well as the Southern, Eastern, and Western Districts of Texas. He participates actively in both the Attorneys Information Exchange Group and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Reagan Sahadi’s Advice on Seeking Legal Representation

Sahadi offers valuable insight for individuals seeking legal representation for a personal injury case. “As an attorney, I advise individuals to prioritize finding a lawyer with a strong background in personal injury law. This specialization is crucial because personal injury law is complex and differs significantly from other areas of law,” he said. “It’s important to ask potential attorneys about their experience with cases similar to yours, including their success rates.”

He also emphasizes the importance of communication. “You should feel comfortable with how your attorney communicates with you. Are they accessible? Do they provide you with an understandable explanation of legal terms? This is a partnership, and effective communication is essential for a successful outcome.”

Sahadi advises clients to be aware of contingency fee structures. “Most personal injury attorneys work on a contingency fee basis, meaning they only get paid if you win your case. However, it’s important to understand the specifics of this arrangement, including what percentage of the settlement the attorney will take and whether you are responsible for any costs if you do not win.”

Additionally, he highlights the importance of acting promptly. “Personal injury cases have statutory deadlines known as statutes of limitations. If you miss these deadlines, you may forfeit your right to seek compensation.”

Lessons, Challenges and the Future

As someone who has spent his career pushing boundaries, Sahadi thrives on taking leaps of faith. It’s the advice he’d give his younger self. “Take more chances,” he said. “If you can dream it, you can do it.”

While he doesn’t view himself as having failed, he acknowledges that his intensity can sometimes be a double-edged sword. “I tend to overthink things. My mind will sometimes go down a rabbit hole of thought,” he said. “This can be a great asset, but it can also be dangerous.”

Despite his successes, Sahadi is still growing, still pushing forward, still seeking justice. “Practicing in states other than Texas excites me,” he said. “Helping clients no matter where they reside.”

Beyond legal victories, Sahadi is passionate about mentorship. He encourages young attorneys to focus on the principles of justice rather than the financial incentives that can sometimes overshadow the practice of law. “I tell young lawyers to never forget why they started,” he said. “Passion for justice should always come before profit. When you do right by people, success follows naturally.”

As someone who fights for the underdog, it’s no surprise that Sahadi’s favorite book is “The Art of War” by Sun Tzu. And his favorite quote? “It is far better to die on your feet than live on your knees,” he said, highlighting Emiliano Zapata’s famous words.

Reagan Sahadi lives by those words—standing firm in the courtroom, refusing to back down. For him, justice isn’t just a job; it’s a calling. And he’s only getting started.
