The View from VT: A Vikings Move Not Seen Since ’88, QB Bombshell, and Trade Rumors

Vikings Territory works in partnership with PurplePTSD, similarly doing their utmost to put forth excellent Minnesota Vikings content. As a result, we promote what they have to offer in “The View from VT,” a weekly piece. Take a look at five of their articles from the past week.
The View from VT: March 8th, 2025
1) PFF Predicts Vikings to Make a Certain Move for First Time Since 1988: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah isn’t afraid of being bold, so maybe something relatively unexpected and/or controversial happens. No doubt, the Vikings’ offseason is going to be a fascinating one.

2) Bombshell Dropped into Vikings QB Situation: Recent days have seen no shortage of QB speculation and prophecy surrounding the Minnesota Vikings. The likeliest scenario remains that Minnesota will proceed with a QB trio of J.J. McCarthy, Daniel Jones, and Brett Rypien (alongside maybe a young passer from the UDFA cluster of talent) to compete for the top spot.
3) Sam Darnold Trade Rumors Turn White Hot: For a little while, I was arguing that Minnesota would pull off a tag-and-trade with Mr. Darnold. Kevin O’Connell’s words, however, scared me off in these past couple weeks. Darnold won’t be traded and will get the chance to test free agency.

4) Vikings Announce First Roster Move in 48 Days: Bringing the safety back is really tidy work from Adofo-Mensah. Look for him to step into a larger role as he continues pushing his game higher. Brian Flores is a fan of the depth safety who seems likely to become a starter.
5) 3 Vikings Offseason Mysteries Have Been Solved: Since the year ended, a decent bit has been learned about where things are going with the Vikings. But, no doubt, there’s still a lot that needs to be decided. Next week promises to be a wild one as players both depart and arrive.

Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
