Widerøe Increases Frequency on Dublin – Bergen Route to 4 Direct Flights

The Norwegian Fjords are becoming increasingly Popular

Widerøe’s direct flight between Dublin and Bergen has proven very successful. With increasing demand in both directions, Widerøe is happy to add more frequency to the route. From April, the airline will offer four weekly flights direct from Dublin Airport to Bergen, operating on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Bergen – the gateway to the Norwegian Fjords!

Bergen is a city with something to offer every taste. Just a 90-minute drive from Bergen airport – there is Voss, an idyllic location surrounded by high mountains, lying between the Sognefjord and the Hardangerfjord. With 40 kilometres of groomed alpine trails, 24 varied slopes, and one of Europe’s best evening skiing facilities. Voss offers opportunities for anyone who wants to strap on a pair of skis – whether they’re into cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, freeriding, or ski mountaineering. Voss is also accessible by train from Bergen.

Myrkdalen, a 30-minute drive from Voss, is one of the most snow-sure ski resorts in Europe (from December to May). Uncrowded and quiet, with slopes for beginners and untracked off-piste areas for the adventurous, the resort is family-friendly and offers trails of all difficulty levels. It’s perfect for relaxing cross-country or mountain skiing on 30 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails. The terrain is also ideal for freeskiing and powder riding.

Bergen is a hub for flights within Norway. From here, travellers can connect to 10 other destinations in Fjord Norway, as well as Kristiansand in the south and Bodø and Tromsø in Northern Norway.
